In a thread about a purple cow vtuber, we got a video about her saying how the presence of the two parents is important for the development of the children.
Thinking about how the millions of divorces played a part on the current year crisis of raising children (boys particularly).
1- By simple math, divorce robs the child of parental attention, time, companionship, care, education, etc.
1.1- It robs them of a particular aspect of parenting, most of the times the father. Fathers and mothers are different and provide different aspects of education and the world to a child.
2- It robs the child of witnessing the parents as a couple. The kids seeing the father and the mother interact realises there is more aspects to men and women than father and mother. A boy raised only by his mother has bigger chances to other treat women like a "nice boy" instead of as a grown men, after all it is only the thing he knows.
3- It sabotages the faith in love that the kid could have. The parents may love the kid, but the fact that the have stopped loving each other marks the heart. The two most important people of his life went from love to being cold, bitter, bussiness like, or "just friends". The kid may emotionally feel that love is not worthy pursuing or that is a hurtful thing for himself and for the woman he likes.
