   Japanese Twitter/Xitter user @fcbliebe1900 offers helpful otaku advice together with an example concert penlight power consumption chart: "For those who are suffering from power outage due to the earthquake and are using concert penlights/glowsticks as flashlights, if you use white or purple, they will discharge quickly. Even if you feel anxious and want to turn on a brighter color, please be patient."

   "Cheap penlights have 3-color LEDs and RGB (red, green, and blue) to create colors by combining multiple colors (the three primary colors of light), so the batteries of the mixed colors will drain faster. However, penlights with LEDs of three or more colors are different from this graph; some white ones have long battery life, but LEDs are highly directional, so do not stare at them when they are lit."
