This comic shows the contrast between the expectations and reality of the life of an open-source developer. The expectation is that the developer is working on code alongside an incredible partner with a romantic interest. However, the reality is that the open-source developer usually works alone, without pay, fixing things in their mom's basement. And to make matters worse, their mom often yells at them to find a proper job already!
