   k i finished it, even 100% achievement’d it just in case

   unfortunately there’s nothing really special about it besides the cute artstyle. for this kind of genre arguably the main hooks are both the story AND the artstyle. again tho like i said the story is pretty average. the game did make me care about the characters so at least they still did something right

   there are multiple endings, but the true ending is the only one you’ll get in the new game+, and it’s so unrealistically, idealistically(?) happy that i couldn’t help but smile as it happened. i expected that kind of ending in a slice-of-life comedic story, not a horror game about spirits, numerous deaths and genocide (well i said genocide but it wasn’t actually that serious). but well whatever, it was cute

   what’s not cute tho was the post-credit scene trying to “””explain””” the plot twist. regardless of whether it was foreshadowed early on or not, it was forced AND STUPID. wth was that even about. it just made the villain SO UNBELIVABLY RETARDED, and all the ghosts in the mansion even including the main character the victims of her absolute retardation. the whole conflict could’ve been avoided had the villain not be retarded and gone to a fucking therapist instead

   well anyway, i honestly think it would’ve been better if this game was free. even with the new game+ this game was pretty short, and the replay value doesn’t really have much variety in content. in contrast Ib was released years ago (am not talking about the remake) and not only was it free, it has better story, better characters and better setpieces overall

   well if you’re like me and you have soft spots for rpg maker horror games i’d say give this game at least a try, maybe you’ll enjoy it more than i did for what it is. it’s pretty cheap on steam, or you can just pirate it idk
