ACPC_Live @ACPC_Live CM Lewis introduces ELMS 34324, an ordinance to prohibit the wearing of ski masks, masks, barrier face coverings, hoods or any other device that conceals the identify of the wearer. Winston, Boone, Bond, Waites, Hillis, Amos, Westmoreland, and Overstreet all co-sponosred Lewis prohibition of items that conceal facial identities. The ordinance will be discussed at the Public Safety Committee Meeting on Monday, Dec. 11.

This is bad. Atlanta is proposing a blanket ban on masks. (It sounds like healthcare workers and religious face coverings might be exempt)
There is no evidence mask bans reduce crime. But mask bans do increase disease spread, violate free expression rights, and are misused to stop and frisk people of color.
