@korgster you have no idea how localized this is i can write a whole paragraph on it and i will
okay, where do we begin? clothing! chiyo-chichi is wearing two things that are very southeast asian: the peci and sarung. the boxy, plaid motif on the sarung is very indicative of the regionality as well. immediately, there's also a subtle tell that this is indonesian instead of malay/bruneian: he's wearing a white shirt instead of a colored one. as for osaka, well i presume whoever edited it wanted to stay true to her original uniform, coloring it pink as opposed to adapting it to the local uniform
as to their accents, notice how chiyo is saying "everynyan". the ny sound /ɲ/ is uncommon in Arabic yet whoever is dubbing it says it with absolute ease. halal osaka, in a stereotypical emak-emak (middle aged lady) voice retorts with "Astaghfirullah" but instead of pronouncing the gh part with a voiced velar fricative /ɣ/ (which every Arab should be able to pronounce easily), she uses the voiced velar plosive /g/ which is less common in Arabic and does not have its own arabic character (but in Jawi it does, ݢ), but for Indonesians its the usual approximation for the gh sound.
there's also the weird cultural phenomenon where the more religious muslim kids tend to also be weebs for some reason. anyhow many indonesians are weebs and aaaaaaaaa :mokouDead:
