   @Twoinchdestroya @SapientPearwood Buying things is fun, it’s an addiction all its own. The process of defining a mission, comparing the offerings, and making a decision is enjoyable.

   But we aren’t like women, they can just grab things guilt-free based on feeling. We have to delude ourselves into feeling that the buy is justified because it meets a mission that nothing else in our inventory does. So we define all sorts of silly criteria and go hunting

   Now the markets have all been going long enough, 15 years of new media creators advertising for them, that they mirror the same dumb excuses right back to us.

   Once you have the bases covered then you get into “okay I need a 500 yd gun. Now an armor piercing hallway gun. Now a truck gun. Now an anti-zombie crowd control gun. Now a concealable dog suppressor. Now a CCW shotgun….” and on and on…because buying things is fun
