It pains me to say this but it seems as if whatever format the Rio Riot is using is some proprietary one. As you can see in gparted it shows up as unallocated space. I'll upload the hdd image to archive.org if anyone wants to inspect it tonight but I have a feeling whatever format it is probably is closed source and if someone was able to uncover whats going on its source code is pretty damn hard to find. https://social.076.moe/url/2021423

So bad news. Seems the charging circut blew on the Riot. It could have blown since I got it and never noticed it, it could be the result of the 18670 having a lower voltage than average...im getting a store bought one of those just in case, or it could be that I was a fucking retard and throwing 6v at the device was just too much for it. I think the last hypothesis is most likely correct and if so now I need to source parts. Hopefully those who also own the unit (like 3 people) would be happy to show me their charging circut so I can compare and contrast and get a good idea what I need to buy.

After stream today I have to say I am so glad i bought this on impulse. This is 100% the best mp3 player. After inspection it takes standard 18650 batteries, has ergonomic grip, a y2k menu style...its amazing. The one thing thatll seal the deal that I wont know about until I test out things is the hard drive. It is a standard 2.5 inch ide laptop drive, so I highly suspect I can just toss anything in there like an ipod, but I wont know until I try. https://social.076.moe/url/2018422
