We live in truly remarkable times! Linux pro-audio enjoyers used to have to configure their sound server for maximum performance and manually make sure all audio was routed properly depending on their tastes and needs.

But now thanks to Pipewire, audio from any and all apps gets automatically blasted into the nearest audio device with much more cpu overhead! We can finally say that it's just as good as Windows or Mac!

@yukiame I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as KDE, is in fact, Plasma/KDE, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Plasma plus KDE. KDE is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning Plasma a system made useful by the Plasma corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX. Many computer users run a modified version of the Plasma system every day, without realizing it.
