@jessica I'm from the late 70s and early 80s, so I like a lot of Priest, Scorpions, earlier Maiden, but when MTV happened metal got watered down a bit and a lot sounded the same after that. Modern metal I just don't get at all.

I need to get a decent quality USB2 CD/DVD burner. Blu Ray support wouldn't hurt either.

I still have lots of CDs I need to rip and BELIEVE IT OR NOT, I still have need to burn CDs and DVDs.

I have a laptop old enough to have a CD drive built in, but that laptop is about to die, so having an external one would be useful.

Although I have to admit, sometimes I feel like I'm the last person in the world who still plays and burns and rips CDs.
