The only problem I see is byte count. I’m using only surrogate pairs. Afaik, there are less than 2,000 of those. So the codepoint size differences might be an issue.

@rtn To do the screen-on-top of me/my room shot, I have my computer screens set up with green backgrounds and I use a chroma key in the Atem to key them on top of my video.

@rtn Hey, sorry, no, not yet. But, in a nutshell, I use Owncast to do the actual streaming (https://owncast.online/). Ours is at https://owncast.small-web.org/

I have an Atem Mini Pro that I stream from/record with. The camera is a Sony a6400 with a Sigma 16mm F1.4 lens. I’ve got a Blue mic hanging on a stand off camera and a Falconeyes roloflex LED light.

I also use OpenSwitcher (https://openswitcher.org/) to control the Atem from Linux.

The design decision behind it is so folks can’t write it down on a post-it or something and have to keep it in their password manager (or find out what a password manager is and get one, if they don’t already know).
