I’m not saying vote and sit on your ass for four years before you vote again. I’m saying vote and then shut the whole damn thing down until things change. Chances of that happening: probably very low. Because, yeah, folk are likely just going to vote and then pat themselves on the back until next time (if there is one).

@oerum Yep. If folks vote for Harris, pat themselves on the back and then go back to waiting for the next election, I don’t see how it’s not game over. (I mean, it might still be game over this election.)

Voting is not going to fix the issue – as I see it, only mass civil disobedience might – but it will lessen the suffering of some folks if not everyone.

I’m the last person to defend Biden/Harris but I will defend minorities who will bear the brunt of a Trump win.

One thing I missed from Howard’s Compose Key mappings was <compose>^1, <compose>^2, etc., to enter superscript digits¹ in toots² so I just added them in:

And since we’re on the subject of typography and the Mac, one of the things you might miss from Linux (say, hypothetically, if you decided you’d had enough and were going back from Linux to macOS after six years), might be the all-powerful Compose Key*.
