@arstechnica in the early part of my semiconductor physics career, I worked on a "shrunk" process that achieved a 1.4 micron gate length. We've come a long way!

Bumped my @libreoffice version up today. Went with the new stable 7.5.9 release. I was only on 7.3 anyway, so it's still a good step forward.

Not sure what's different – think I'll take a scan through the release notes in case there's something nifty I'd like to play with.

@arstechnica very timely (pun accepted) –I spent an evening this week searching for and sampling #Tubi's time-travel SF content.

My biggest peeve is when they establish a chosen set of 'rules' for their universe, then violate their own logic to achieve a plot twist. Sure is lots of stuff in that lower-left quadrant!

@arstechnica interesting read. A bit surprised that the article mentions BOR-4 and HL-20 but not the X-37B, a very similar US craft doing multiple missions currently.

Umm still know lots of people who work at Bell Labs and their pay cheques would say differently. Had an R&D team there myself not so long ago.

@wonderofscience some cool hydrodynamics happening there, with the retained air in the feathers and the cavitation around the wings and body. It manages to avoid getting jabbed into the pond bottom, and effect a quick exit
