@HebrideanHecate @ArtistBristol My mom's gyns have offered this procedure to her for the last 8 years. She does not want to go under the knife, so she refused it.
When she told me about it I told her about the complications. Last time they offered it she said that she knew about the complications and everything... And the doctor was surprised about it!
Apparently this doctor (and probably many more) doesn't know what happens in the field.
