@glynmoody I have been saying since the 1990s already that Canada needed to wean itself from relying on the USA to run it economy.

Naturally the siren's call of "easy money" meant doing even more deals with the Devil instead of doing the difficult work of establishing other lines of trade.

And now Canadians are paying the cost.

@glynmoody Europeans have more options available and can shift easier. If they stop finally bending the knee to the USA they could make huge bank by dealing with China, for example.

@galena @djsumdog @mike I'm not sure how you think this conversation is going to play out, but ... ah ... you telling me that a place that has been low stress for me since 2021 (pre-Elon Twitter) is actually worse and more stressful than a place I ditched is not a good tactic.

It actually kind of makes you look like a dullard.

@djsumdog @mike All the rationalization in the world isn't changing the fact that *you* are getting blocked and banned.

If this isn't a problem for you, that's fine. But from the loud turbofan-grade whining coming from your part of the airstrip, I'm guessing it bugs you.

If it doesn't bug you, maybe cutting the whining will help demonstrate that. Otherwise people are just going to assume you're upset about it.

@galena @djsumdog @mike And yet my experience on Mastodon has been far more pleasant, informative, and generally low-stress since I started using it than an average **week** was on Twitter when I was still sufficiently brain-damaged to use it.

It seems I like all these problems you're railing against and I disliked the platform that didn't have the problems.

I can't possibly imagine why you're finding yourself getting banned or blocked. You seem like such a nice person.
