Israel’s Crimes Against Humanity in #Gaza: #ForcedDisplacement of Palestinians Leaves Much of Area Uninhabitable. “Israeli authorities have caused the massive, deliberate forced displacement of Palestinian civilians in Gaza… & are responsible for #WarCrimes & #CrimesAgainstHumanity, …[HRW] said in a report…published at the time of an ongoing Israeli military campaign in northern Gaza that has most likely created a new wave of forced displacement...” | HRW report https://www.hrw.org/news/2024/11/14/israels-crimes-against-humanity-gaza 1/2
Israel has launched a massive assault on the West Bank. Why & why now? ‘…the far right has been vocal about its desire to annex all of the #WestBank as it grows stronger under the government of…Netanyahu… Israel’s continued fight on multiple fronts is likely to continue… “…when…impunity is… virtually guaranteed because of the #UnitedStates’s very specific role in this & to a lesser but still significant extent the #EU’s role in all of this,” [said] Elia Ayoub… | AlJazeera https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/8/28/israel-launched-a-massive-assault-on-the-west-bank-why-and-why-now
@feditips. Thanks for all you are doing. I hope “MAS-37 Restrict who can reply to a post” can be given more priority as a safety issue (possibly gender-related, but I have no proof). I’m starting to see the merits of precluding quote tweets. I see the latter is in the works, but I hope users will be able to preclude quote tweets. On balance, I’ve enjoyed my experience on Mastodon, however its increasing popularity means increasing gender-based risks & risks for racialized persons.
I can’t seem to find out whether there are ways to: • forbid #replies to one’s posts (or particular posts)? • #remove particular replies from one’s posts?
Blocking or muting individuals doesn’t remove their unwanted or inaccurate replies. Currently the only remedy I’ve found is to delete my whole post.
