There's no direct option on your profile, but you could try searching for "from:me" in the search box?
Other people can search for from: and then your account address ( AT Boblaw0 AT mastodon DOT social but with @ and . instead of words and spaces).

I think the "news account" label on Friendica is intended for automated RSS streams?
Is there some reason a non-automated account would use it? (Genuine question!)
You can see trending posts, hashtags and links on your server by browsing its "Explore" section.
-On website or web app click "Explore" or # on the right of screen
-On official apps click 🔍 magnifying glass at bottom, and leave search box empty
-On third party apps interface will vary, but usually it's called "Trending" and often in settings menu
Lots of info about this including why things trend, how server admins can prevent dubious news trending and more at:

p.s. For example, this is a fun bot for fans of pop culture: @vs_everyone
Glad to hear from voice of experience! 👍
Ahaa, thank you!
Is it correct to say bad bots probably wouldn't label themselves "automated"?
Yeah, some nice bots on botsin.space!
Have you ever noticed an account on here labelled "Automated" or "Bot"?
It means the account is a bot, operating automatically without a human doing the posting.
This might sound odd, but there are many useful and entertaining bots, for example posting sports results or weather bulletins or public domain art. Other bots run interactive games of chess or D&D campaigns or text adventures.

It might be that Megalodon hasn't implemented embedded videos yet? @megalodon might be able to comment?
I think I know what the problem is, it's nothing to do with Mastodon.
The website has set the incorrect value for its metadata.
It currently says
<meta property="og:url" content="notechforapartheid.com">
It should have an https:// before the web address.
If you can contact the website owners, they are the only ones who can fix this.
If you paste the web address of a PeerTube video into the search box, it should appear as a post?
Does it show an embedded video when you do that?
@mastodonmigration @tchambers @pfefferle
Yeah, I'd agree with having a dedicated account for this, other Fedi platforms have dedicated accounts so it would make sense for AP-WP to have one too?
The account could publish when the latest updates happen, ask for feedback, point people towards the support forum etc.
Also, would be good if you cited example accounts so people can say "Hey that looks nice, I think I'll try it too!"
That's definitely a bug.
There is another bug where link previews weren't rendering anchor links (with # in them) at all, and perhaps this new bug is a result of an attempt to correct the anchor text bug?
You're on mastodon.social so the devs often use it for experimental code which may not work properly. Perhaps this is some of that experimental code?
Yes, unlisted posts are visible to everyone.
The only difference between unlisted and public modes is the unlisted ones don't show up on Mastodon searches or Mastodon's "Federated" and "Local" timelines.
Unlisted will show up in your Home timeline if someone you follow posts it or shares it, that's intended behaviour.
It just doesn't show up on the "Local" and "Federated" timelines, or in any searches.
More info about the different timelines here:
If you're new here, there's a tradition that you make post telling the world a bit about your account with the hashtag #Introduction
(You don't have to, it's just a fun little thing on here that many choose to do!)
You can also do this if you've been here a while with the hashtag #reintroduction
Introduction posts are also handy to pin on your profile so people browsing your account can quickly see what you're about. More info about how to pin posts here: https://fedi.tips/how-do-i-pin-my-posts-on-my-mastodon-profile/
The guide to migrating your account is here:

(By the way, all my guides are on the site at https://fedi.tips! 😁 )
Yeah, if you are concerned about unwanted people seeing a post would strongly recommend follower-only posts and switching on follower-screening.
Otherwise anyone can sign up and see the post.
Public posts would still be visible to people who don't have an account.
There is no visibility setting that makes a post visible to everyone but requires people to log in to see it.
