Some time today, the Palestinian death toll in Gaza (at 5,087 yesterday) will exceed the number of Palestinians killed in the First and Second Intifadas combined (high estimates 3,354 and 1,962 respectively. This month has been worse than 10 years.

It's okay to have all kinds of feelings re living through deadly #pandemic.

If events like the 2010 Haitian earthquake or the 2004 Tsunami weighed upon you, humanity is seeing that much death every two to four weeks.

In most countries, this is a more critical matter of public policy than everything except health care provision writ large.

And personally, it's life-changing for so many affected people.

It's been a long three years, but let's stay kind+aware.
