@Zerglingman @kirby I want to run a program effortlessly the first time. After that, if it’s worth my time to understand, I will learn. Rsync funnily enough would be one of those cases, though they’re fairly intuitive.

I really do appreciate the standardization of flags across programs. Saves so many headaches.

@kirby There’s gatekeeping and then there’s just annoying fag bullshit that benefits no one at all. RTFM niggers fall into the latter category.

If it’s a short read, fine, but there are programs out there that would take hours just to understand the switches, never mind understanding the software fully enough to properly implement it.

Like gatekeep all you want, in fact I am in favor of it, but don’t pretend autistically screeching about reading a fucking book solves anything.

@Zerglingman @mima @roboneko @untyped Or you could just find the main implimenting class/function, and with some sleuthing you should eventually find your way down the stack until you’ve found where it actually does the deletion (should be easy given it would need to call SQL(?)). At that point just returning true or an empty string or something should do the trick.

@Zerglingman @mima @roboneko @untyped It depends on the FE but it should be as simple as finding the function call and removing it or replacing with boilerplate (if you’re a lazy nigger). Bloat is written in Rust and with literally zero knowledge using it I was still able to edit the code. YMMV

@Zerglingman @mima @roboneko @untyped Some deletes are warranted. Like edits and hilariously wrong takes. I know some people, myself included, like to laugh at bad takes, but some are so outright wrong the deserve a delete in my opinion.
