One of the first places I looked to confirm this was was Wikipedia, which didn't list a date of death. So I started having my doubts.

But also his website was down, which in retrospect might have been due to the fact the claim was circulating regardless of truth.

@aral @Raccoon @LALegault @Gargron @DocScranton@roysbeer.place the phrases "Zionist occupied government" or "Zionist controlled media" is usually an indicator of antisemitism. It's often by used by people who simply mean "Jewish."

Seeing that phrase already set off alarm bells for me, so I trust Aral when he says he dug further.

"Holocaust inversion" accusations ring hollow because it means "it's antisemitic to compare Israel to Nazis". If this is antisemitism, then antisemites include:

- Holocaust survivor and anti-fascist Victor Klemperer
- Hannah Arendt (in 1948)
- Zionist Israeli firebrand Yeshayahu Leibowitz
- Israeli Holocaust historian Omer Bartov
- Likud (true but for other reasons)
