A useful piece of information for anyone filing proposals to #FOSS projects: Being a user of a software does not automatically make you its target audience.

When filing an issue, please take the time to understand if your suggestion serves the project's philosophy and/or its target audience.

The best way to convince a project to consider your proposal is to explain how it will benefit the project's philosophy and/or target audience, not how it will benefit you.

It's such a shame when cool projects are maintained by bigots.

I wanted to give Hyprland a try, since I love the (technical) direction it's going. Sadly, the maintainers are transphobic and will treat you like garbage if you are a trans person. @orowith2os, a great friend of mine, shared some screenshots about the bigotry on the Discord server that made me reconsider my decision.
