it's sometimes really annoying that I have to submit reproductions for bugs to open source maintainers in order to be believed.

I 100% understand why and it is very necessary to help them fix stuff.

What I find irritating is that some will insist that bugs I'm looking at on my screen *do not exist*.

Of course I'm the one filing bug reports and of course I'm aware of the discourse around all the free labor oss maintainers do. #theVent

I need to make something cool.
Beryl is in a tricky spot where I don't know what to do next. It needs to marinate in my mindbrain for awhile.

The only other physical thing I've done was clean my office and paint my partner's.

Gotta think of a lil project to spark some creativity, with the bits I have on hand.

I love seeing open source fans (myself included) spiral off towards more and more esoteric tools.

Like going from Google docs to next cloud to KaraDAV etc etc.

I genuinely love it. I want every human to have a personal conglomeration of wierd software that they love.

On the plus side I've gone from a pile of curated interesting links to a list of text content in categories that I just need to load onto my eReader.

My goal is to basically to not need to download any new books for at least a few months.

Then I always have something to read instead of just scrolling whatever app I land on.

Got most of the way through making a script to save a file full of links to an ebook!

I can pull the content of all the links, but im having trouble reliably formatting this pile of web pages into a single readable ebook.

Html -> epub sometimes fails and doesn't show any site content

Html -> lynx works pretty much perfectly

Html -> lynx -> txt -> epub preserves text but strips formatting

@alcinnz yeah I think in my case it's the intersections of me not knowing what I'm doing, a rolling distro, and Nvidia mac drivers.

Lol is it too much to ask that my free operating system maintained by volunteers both resurrect hardware that trillion dollar companies cast aside, and require no effort from me???

I tried to update my computer and now it won't boot 😭.

Like I'm learning a lot about the Linux boot process, but I don't really want to know any of this. Or I didn't want to be forced to learn this during my vacation.

Like I get that kde neon is a rolling distro so I understand this kind if thing can happen. But I need something stable for my day to day laptop.

Maybe I get this working on Neon today, and try kubuntu on another old laptop I just found.
