@dookie @mint you could do it with wireguard I think. Not sure what that needs for resources.
-
@dookie sounds kind of like something the admin on here might be more familiar with.
@mint do you think a 1GB ram VPS would be enough for soapbox, nextcloud, a proxy, and some other stuff?
-
@dookie what stuff? Vps could be handy depending on what you want and buy me is pretty good
-
@dookie I ran pleroma on one of their low end ones ended up upgrading to the $7 one for a little more ram and storage
-
@dookie I’m not too sure. If you can afford it more ram would always be best but I don’t know about how much would be best for what you want to run.
The $3.50 vps only has 1 GB right?
-
@mint i'm usually off around 9:30 or 10 pm eastern time so in like 2 to 3 hours.
-
@mint kk cool thanks!
-
@mint is ryona having issues with media? or are you working on the instance?
-
@coolboymew @kaia @Bead I remember VLC working just fine on it. I ended up using that more than their app.
Spotify absolutely would not work for streaming. It sounded like modem screeching out of the headphones for some reason.
-
@coolboymew @kaia @Bead mine was $350 US when I got it in 2017.
I liked the way it sounded but never liked their audio app and didn’t really find one I liked on Android. Ended up selling it. Personally I’d rather have a dedicated music player.
-
@coolboymew @kaia @Bead sorry I’m a dumbass the one I had was a FiiO X7 Mark II.
Looks like the M11 is the updated version of that.
-
@coolboymew @kaia @Bead the one I had had dual sd card slots too
-
@coolboymew @kaia @Bead yeah it has the play store and everything.
-
@Bead @kaia @coolboymew I had one of those Astell & Kern players a few years. They sound great but they run an old Android version and their music app sucked. You can run whatever other media player on it you want though.
-
@get @nosleep @sjw @coolboymew A place near me has a CBD tonic drink that was really good.
-
@mint is there a reason you're not using something like Proxmox for containers? Just curious.
-
@mint Are you just using a barebones Debian install?
-
@mint It would be nice if ipv6 would just work
-
@mint Doesn't Android only use SLAAC too?
-
@mint last I looked in the settings on mine it pretty much just had UEFI settings and secure boot settings and that’s it.
