A thing that I realized a bit after this is nothing is stopping you from putting ASCII art of robots dancing into your robots.txt
As long as the first character of each line is a # it will even be parsed properly by scrapers

I am constantly seeking ways to fit the EICAR antivirus test string into inappropriate places. Fit it in a QR code, print and frame it and hang it behind me during Twitch streams. Embed it in an NFC chip in my wrist. Build an impromptu transmitter and beam it into space. Swallow a smart pill which CRISPRs me to insert it into my DNA at the moment of my death, to confound attempts to identify my corpse
Just learned about "ads.txt"… will Google penalize my site if I give it an ads.txt but put nothing inside except the EICAR antivirus test string, do you think
Apparently August 1 was Yaoi Day and I missed it :(
Hypothesis: The purpose of transphobia simply is for transphobes to claim the power to point at a person and deny their womanhood, or their humanity. On the pro-trans side we're very concerned with how gender is defined and it being defined broadly, but transphobes aren't *actually* interested in any underlying idea or theory, they just want a pretense to lead attack mobs
@foone Canada is very very cold! I mean not today we're in a government heat warning. But it gets very cold! *_*
What we're seeing here is straightforward— a preview of an administration that will not have contact with trans, queer, gay communities, and will think of itself as serving these communities but will *only* gauge what we want by asking HRC.
But I want to view it as something else: A mindset stuck in another era. The Equality Act is a leftover of the first Obama term, when LGBT rights were expanding. Instead we now live in a world where LGBT existence is under active attack.
Anyway a few days late on this but

Really fascinating to watch Harris from one side of her mouth calling for Marsha Blackburn's KOSA to pass, and from the other side of her mouth court LGBT voters by saying she'd pass the Equality Act.
Taking these two positions at face value, the vision is a world where trans people CAN get jobs within capitalism, but CANNOT have free speech online (and definitely cannot, under any circumstances, have childhoods).
If that's my top issue— a law forcing me to move out of a state¹ completely, never mind if I can get a job there— the number one thing I'd want is for Harris to *not join in in the attack*. And KOSA *is* part of the anti-transgender legislative wave.
¹ Okay, yes, this is a weird thing to say when I live in Canada. But here's the thing. I would *like* to live in North Carolina. I'd have really liked that! I'd prefer to live in a world where that option were still available.
Okay, yes, if we're in a world where we're under attack, something like the Equality Act to protect us from discrimination of various sorts is *desirable*. But it's not *our first priority*. It's the wrong place on Maslow's Hierarchy. We are seeing our very existence and access to public space blocked by noxious state laws. Would the Equality Act roll some of those back? Will the Roberts court allow Federal action to override state? *Can Harris speak to this subject at all?*
Yeah, turns out there are *two* queer girls named June who are sheep furries in the East Ontario-West Quebec metropolitan cluster. Possibly more than two, apparently I shouldn't assume
On the second day of my visit I was talking to Zandra and she mentioned her friend June, and I— who have a friend named June I haven't seen in a long time due to pandemic and Twitter Collapse— went oh, June the sheepgirl? And Zandra goes oh yeah June the sheep girl! She moved to Montreal. And I'm like oh!, I haven't seen her in so long! And we start making plans for Zandra to reach out to June and for us all to hang out before eventually we realize we're not actually talking about the same June.
Referring to distances and weights in kibimeters and kibigrams just to confuse everyone
POSTSCRIPT: After typing this, I suddenly wondered if anyone had ever had this thought before. I searched on Google for "kibigram" to see if I could find an example of someone using the word. I did. It was @foone
None of the delivery services will actually deliver me a package, but U.P.S. will charge me the most money to not deliver the package
I want to just paste "I hate U.P.S." over and over and over until it hits 500 characters but let's be honest, I kind of hate all the delivery services
Cheering as the clock ticks over from 4:30 to 4:31 without either my doorbell ringing or [shipping company] updating my package status
@foone I heard someone talking a few weeks ago about the idea of choosing a "joke license" like the wtfpl specifically and for no other reason than to filter out any organization so structured that a legal department has to approve license use, while allowing everyone else to use it

@foone @vikxin I've been experimenting lately with "jurts" https://mastodon.social/@mcc/112798567177518235
@vikxin Jeans follow this convention too but that's easier to not notice
