@nixCraft the bigger issue with this is from a security stand point. Google itself, allowing malicious ads to be sco'd and placed even on their own platforms is the biggest reason I use blockers. And, let's not forget all the porn ads that still show up on YouTube kids.

@arstechnica Blue Diamond almond milk is my favorite. I like cow milk products, I'm not lactose intolerant. I just don't like drinking plain milk. I also don't use cow milk often enough before it would go bad.

@arstechnica Delta 8 was illegal in my state. Then legal for about a year or so, now it's illegal again. Delta 9 remains ok.

Alcohol and tobacco remain unchanged, along with multiple pharmacies on practically every corner here. (Louisiana btw). It makes no sense to classify marijuana the way it has been. I seriously think Big pharma was a serious influence for it.

@nixCraft Not for me. Though I've had an iPhone in the past, supplied by my work. It was essentially my first smart phone I 'owned'. While I got used to it, it always kinda pissed me off. Granted this was back in like 2014. After I left that position and had to return the phone, went with a cheap android. Mostly due to cost, but I immediately felt at home. And to this day iPhones UI still rubs me the wrong way.

@nixCraft idk, having something critical like financials run on Java seems like a bad idea? I'm no dev, but my experiences with Java have been mixed.

@nixCraft The takeaway here, should still be that no system is bullet proof. Years ago I had a spare PC running as a public Minecraft server. Woke up one day to the Minecraft server having been shutdown, and the CPU being fully pegged. Even after a reboot. There were some other fishy things happening too. Made the decision to nuke the install. Was a learning opportunity to up my opsec.

@nixCraft I could see an argument for the work belonging to the LLM creators instead. I'm not for that either, but it's kind of like when a child creates something or is eligible for large sums of money, it defaults to the parents/trust.

@arstechnica The thought of trying to game, or do anything beyond browser related tasks on a Chromebook seems self defeating. But, the nerd in my approves of non-standard usage XD
