Walmart was still open for a half hour so I went and bought THIS for $16

I will download a big miku playlist and play it in the car all the way home, something I've always wanted to do but never really could cause I never drive alone.

Let's make the most of this single opportunity and turn this dissatisfactory experience around so maybe I don't arrive home feeling like shit

lost:
- ~$100 ($80 ticket, $15 parking, fuel..)
- the hope and excitement of going to the real thing some day

gained:
- knowledge that the real thing fucking sucks
- knowledge that the car audio system also fucking sucks
- a few video clips that look and sound better than the real thing
- tinnitus
- a headache
- a pissed mood

worth it? maybe, experience is valuable... but this means I'm not gonna get anything good out of it next time if it's exactly the same. the only thing I can change is to bring ear protection, but I still might not enjoy it. It's hard to have a good time, you need to be in the mood, you need friends... I'm not good at enjoying life, I'm a hermit..

you pay to get your ears blasted by giant speakers and people screaming

The concert is terrible for actually enjoying the content, the screen is too far and the music is way too loud.

It's entirely just for the atmosphere, seeing the other people...

@mikunuma It's not like it's a 3D hologram it's just a translucent flat screen.

The point of the concert is that you also have a real band, curated songs, auditorium full of a thousand enthusiastic people with the same niche interest as you, gallery and merchanise store full of your favorite things... It's a whole event, and NOTHING like you're getting at home.

Most of the fun of enjoying stuff is doing it with other people!! If you're all alone at home there is not much value in doing anything
