@mittfh @autiomaa @aral Yup, so owning your identity by self-hosting to some extent is an extreme and imperfect approach - but the best you can do for now. True decentralized identity using blockchain does look (more) promising to me - and it may finally be a moral and sensible application for blockchain tech 😋

@autiomaa @aral You are right, but the positive side is that even for identity we're moving towards decentralisation at a growing pace, with even Microsoft facilitating and promoting verifyable credentials and decentralized identities. It won't be long now before applications start embracing this paradigm and portable, self-owned identities become a reality!
