Companies don't have their own websites anymore nor maintain them and it drives me insane (like trying to find their hours of operation on Easter Sunday---just doesn't exist). Everyone uses some boilerplate conglomerate site these days which the business owners don't even maintain.
I have no real intention from moving from Linux/openSUSE. The only OS that I really, really, really love and hope to one-day move to full-time is Haiku. That being said, I looked into FreeBSD last night over someone's post on here and it honestly looked pretty comfy and straightforward when compared to modern Linux.
@gentoobro@gleasonator.com Gentoo is the only other distribution I've never tried but been very intrigued about. I've tried most others. I'm very happy with openSUSE and it'd be difficult to move away from openSUSE considering everything it provides out of the box and "just werks" plus things like Snapper for roll-backs if things break after an update (that also comes with a sane BTRFS subpartition scheme). I also like YaST.
@dcc@annihilation.social Yeah, I did some back stretches and kinda tried to rotate my spine around and force my lower back into a sort of alignment and did some leg stretches and feel a whole lot better, especially after a hot shower. The ibuprofen and acetaminophen also seems to help. @realman543@annihilation.social
ouroboros.gay blocked this entire instance over this meta-post I made about @AnthonyJK@mastodon.redgarterclub.com---professional e-begger and prolific degenerate gooner. Why? Because the ouroboros.gay admin personally identified with and resonated with the criteria and/or description of: openly a loser parasite person that only serves to be civilizational litter or societal detritus gumming up the gears that move the species forwardRE: https://soc0.outrnat.nl/notes/9r0vuh9ykp
Another reason self-hosting is so important and should be made accessible: in the current client-server-server-client model we have here on the Fediverse, you have to really trust that the people maintaining an instance you want to join aren't mentally ill, lack personality disorders, aren't prima donnas, etc.. Essentially, that the admins won't personalize their maintenance of the instance and hold their users hostage to their whims; That they're capable of being mature professionals.
Alright, I'm about to try installing Gnome overtop KDE while retaining all the KDE apps and none of the Gnome apps. Will probably break my system and I'm in the middle of nowhere without any sort of recovery ISO or anything. So, stupid decision on my part, but, whatever. Here goes nothing.
