This has taken off, so i'd like to mention something else I am involved in. Trans Rescue is a small non-profit, we get trans people out of dodgy places worldwide. Currently that means helping American trans people leave the USA to escape Trump. Please help us if you can. https://transrescue.org/donations/bis-donation-form
There's a parliamentary petition for an independent review of the Cass report into gender medical services for young people. It's a highly problematic document commissioned by the previous government and shaped by anti-trans viewpoints.
If you're a Brit, you can sign it, whether you live in the UK or not. Please do.
We've had some successes recently though which in due course I'll write about on the website, but our first priority is passenger safety and radio silence until that is achieved.
Our passengers are normal people just like you or me, placed in impossible situations just because of who they are. In many situations we're all they've got, and we're keeping them alive in a practical support sense, a safety sense, and a mental health sense.
On top of that we have regular business to attend to, passengers elsewhere to get out of danger. I had probably one of the most stressful nights of my life recently, as we remotely co-ordinated a way out of a very sticky situation for someone stuck in a middle eastern country.
That passenger is now safe, and eventually we'll find a way out for them. The worst bit of all this is that it's so often a waiting game, as getting them out often relies on the confluence of things beyond our control.
