    It was literally the only thing he could do. It didn't require anyone's permission. It didn't require Pence, or Congress, or any executive branch to authorize it. He could have pardoned everyone else and thanks to the Double Jeopardy clause nobody could ever undo it. He actively decided to spend his last week doing fuck all.

    Someone who was arrested on Jan 6 sent me an email which really highlights how both Trump and America First totally abandoned absolutely everyone involved.

    As far as I'm concerned, Trump not using his last week of executive privilege to pardon everyone he tricked into showing up to D.C. should put him in the 9th circle of hell with all other traitors.

    The House recently passed a bill that would remove COVID-19 vaccine requirements for air travel to the United States by non-residents. The United States is among the few countries that still require a COVID-19 vaccine card to enter for any reason, the other is China.

    I am almost convinced that this mandate is a deliberate effort to keep conservative people in Europe (particularly Ukraine) from leaving to the United States, while the southern border stays completely open to anyone willing to cross illegally.

    If you're one of those "call your senator" types, I'd encourage you to call, especially if your senator is a Democrat.

    I had a really promising phone call today and I'm hoping to have more good news about long-term KF stability soon.

    Today I also managed to get Scylla working across multiple datacenters. Scylla is a really bleeding edge database system that sacrifices consistency to achieve an extraordinary performance, fault tolerance, and horizontal scaling. It's a popular hipster tech right now.

    I'm using it with KiwiFlare because I needed a multi-master database. There were users on cell networks being routed to different frontends every other request, causing them to hit checks constantly (since the sessions were stored separately on each node). With Scylla, I'm hoping that this issue will be resolved.

    Since KiwiFlare is so simple it's a good test of Scylla in general. I might look into using it for the Rust forum rewrite - which I hope to begin work on again this year, after not being able to work on it for a few months.

    I think in the next month I will be in such a strong position I may be able to offer proxying to websites which need complaint-resistant hosting. They'd have to be US legal, and I'd prefer they be apolitical. Would anyone know websites that would need such help?

    I don't usually tweet Gunt stuff on Fedi because it's kinda embarrassing I even pay attention to him at this point, but Ralph just got banned from Twitter. Dozens of people have reported that they got notifications their reports from years ago have been answered. It was rumored, but now basically confirmed, that Jack's blue checkmarks basically put reports on an ignore. Something happened and all the reports on Ralph's Twitter just got reviewed at once, which is why he's perma-banned now.

    To add to this, he's so drunk that he spun up his alt account KillstreamLive, then sent a message out on Telegram advertising it. Problem is that he spelled the Twitter URL out wrong as twitter dot live.

    Then, to completely and totally humiliate himself, he posted the same message on May's Twitter less than a minute latter (9:34am original, 9:35am May's). This includes the broken URL, so it's basically confirmed he's been controlling her Twitter account and writing all those messages about what a great husband he is. Truly fucking pitiful.
