@aral Zoom was a genuine improvement over its predecessors, and is still better than Teams, so I don't think that's fair.

Of all the UX improvements Zoom needs, they have decided to make precisely zero and instead enshittify it. Can't wait for someone to do to Zoom what Zoom did to Skype.

A little-known fact about Mastodon is that when you move your account, it gets put on a truck and then shipped to the new server. Here, for instance, are users employing I-195 to move between servers.

Almost 25 years ago, amidst much drama in the community over a name-squatter, I got schemers.org to create a community resource site for the Scheme programming language.

Over the past decade I've tended it less and less, down to basically zero except on demand.

Today I will finally transfer it to active Schemers. But I'll always be one at heart. To me, it is still a genius act of design.
