The amazing Georges Stavracas Neto has merged the code that adds a grid view to the default file selection dialog in GTK4, completing the work done by him, Matthias Clasen, and Corey Berla that ported the whole dialog away from the deprecated GtkTreeView widgets to the new GTK4 list widgets. In so doing, Georges closed a 18 years old bug: https://blog.gtk.org/2022/12/15/a-grid-for-the-file-chooser/
Georges's work will be available in GTK 4.10, next February/March.
