Yes, that is what I am trying to get at. Why was he limited in the first place? I get that you are under no obligation to actually communicate the reasons behind your administration. Your house, your rules after all. But is someone that has been advocating for open source and open platforms since 2013 / 2014 (at least first time I heard of him with Indie) really the sort of person that deserves to be "limited"?

Otherwise, their voice is effectively being silenced. We can label it whatever we like, but that is the impact it has on the person.
You can likely make an argument for outright blocking some of the known havens / instances for racist and other vile stuff, but we start getting into a slippery slope pretty quick.

Aral was replying and mentioning me, I did not see their posts. I went to their profile, they were not muted or blocked, rather it presented the screen that I took a screenshot of above. 🤔
Once I followed them, I was able to see their replies and their profile again.

Joshua Strobl (joshstrobl@fosstodon.org)'s status on Monday, 10-Jul-2023 18:24:39 JST Joshua Strobl @aral @fosstodon Is it possible there was just enough reports against your account / posts that you were blocked as a result, even if the reports date back years? I find @kev and co to be reasonable individuals and would hesitate to attribute malice. Fosstodon is an incredibly popular Mastodon instance, with a big user base, so I would wager some mistakes just happen during the process of administrating it.

Also Fedora: Hey let's propose that telemetry is opt-out and that we gather #telemetry even in use cases where the metrics should really be gathered by the respective application, desktop environment, etc. instead -- where they can make the best choices with and for their community.
Is #fedora trying to follow Red Hat's lead in pissing off the community?

If you are a Fedora user, you may want to read it and express your thoughts there. To be clear, I am saying that regardless of whether or not you even agree with me. I'm not looking for an echo chamber.
