    @Pawlicker Yeah, Xiaomi is notorious for picking different suppliers for parts and then patching it in firmware, like with FPC/Goodix fingerprint scanners (the latter of which also happened not to work with SELinux in Enforcing mode).

    @Pawlicker I owned some Xiaomeme phone for a while, broke its screen and had it replaced, which for whatever reason resulted in touchscreen not working. Apparently it works on official ROMs but not most of custom ones unless you flash a kernel that has a patch for it.

    I remember some guy on /app/ complaining about how his wallpaper got randomly changed to swastika on some custom ROM, apparently it was in celebration of some Indian holiday or something.

    @phnt @fedi_block_bot He missed one. Whois for IP claims Comcast, I don't know whether it offers hosting/colo/whatever services, but if not then it'll mean he's hosting it on someone's home connection, likely even his own.

    Some maintenance work on local transformer is apparently scheduled tomorrow between 10:00 and 13:00 MSK, translationg into at least 8 hours of downtime until I get home and have a chance of fixing this shit.

    @nyanide I mean, SSDs are fairly cheap these days. The only issue is I/O, but I plan to alleviate it with two NVMe RAID 0 later this month.
