(mint@ryona.agency)'s status on Friday, 11-Oct-2024 18:31:37 JST It happened again, I don't know what exactly causes it or what sysctl values to change, but just adding 40 gigs of zram swap fixes the issue. -
(mint@ryona.agency)'s status on Friday, 11-Oct-2024 05:27:44 JST @Pawlicker Yeah, Xiaomi is notorious for picking different suppliers for parts and then patching it in firmware, like with FPC/Goodix fingerprint scanners (the latter of which also happened not to work with SELinux in Enforcing mode). -
(mint@ryona.agency)'s status on Friday, 11-Oct-2024 05:24:44 JST @Pawlicker I owned some Xiaomeme phone for a while, broke its screen and had it replaced, which for whatever reason resulted in touchscreen not working. Apparently it works on official ROMs but not most of custom ones unless you flash a kernel that has a patch for it. -
(mint@ryona.agency)'s status on Friday, 11-Oct-2024 05:20:38 JST @Pawlicker >since custom roms sometimes had "funny" side effects from experience
I remember some guy on /app/ complaining about how his wallpaper got randomly changed to swastika on some custom ROM, apparently it was in celebration of some Indian holiday or something. -
(mint@ryona.agency)'s status on Thursday, 10-Oct-2024 22:56:30 JST @phnt @fedi_block_bot He missed one. Whois for IP claims Comcast, I don't know whether it offers hosting/colo/whatever services, but if not then it'll mean he's hosting it on someone's home connection, likely even his own. -
(mint@ryona.agency)'s status on Thursday, 10-Oct-2024 22:29:55 JST @syzygy @pernia I don't think so, he's been kinda bratty lately. -
(mint@ryona.agency)'s status on Thursday, 10-Oct-2024 22:10:15 JST @syzygy @pernia He can't at least until I get home. -
(mint@ryona.agency)'s status on Thursday, 10-Oct-2024 21:24:40 JST Turns out I was bringing up the wrong interface. Can ping salon's SBC but can't do anything else with it, even ssh. -
(mint@ryona.agency)'s status on Thursday, 10-Oct-2024 19:35:18 JST Imagine it turning off immediately after I start driving back to work. -
(mint@ryona.agency)'s status on Thursday, 10-Oct-2024 19:31:18 JST Just drove home and turned everything back up (except salon, it doesn't see the network for whatever reason). The things I'd do for fellow agents. -
(mint@ryona.agency)'s status on Thursday, 10-Oct-2024 16:20:44 JST Might've rushed up gracefully shutting down tgd only PC with remote access. Still, we're on borrowed time. -
(mint@ryona.agency)'s status on Thursday, 10-Oct-2024 15:35:07 JST 25 minutes left. -
(mint@ryona.agency)'s status on Thursday, 10-Oct-2024 00:35:49 JST Maybe if I'm lucky and the router turns back on as intended when the power goes back, I could ssh in and unlock partitions over network. Don't count on that, tho. -
(mint@ryona.agency)'s status on Thursday, 10-Oct-2024 00:29:29 JST Some maintenance work on local transformer is apparently scheduled tomorrow between 10:00 and 13:00 MSK, translationg into at least 8 hours of downtime until I get home and have a chance of fixing this shit. -
(mint@ryona.agency)'s status on Wednesday, 09-Oct-2024 23:06:58 JST @nyanide I mean, SSDs are fairly cheap these days. The only issue is I/O, but I plan to alleviate it with two NVMe RAID 0 later this month. -
(mint@ryona.agency)'s status on Wednesday, 09-Oct-2024 23:03:23 JST No idea what to do with those boomer tools anymore, will deal with it either tomorrow or later this night. -
