@mntmn ive been curious about the next, will it maintain compatibility with the standard reform’s COM?

working a tiny bit more on the mnT1000 project and today I remembered you can add reference photos in kicad. So today I scanned the bottom of the toshiba t1000 motherboard, cropped/mirrored the image and then brought it into pcbnew to aid in lining up everything on my replacement motherboard design. It helped to have the general measuerments and things mapped out before hand but with this i feel like i can fine tune the placement so things are relatively in place.

@mntmn i keep wondering why all these SOC makers use hdmi and not displayport. it would be so much easier to design for display port and edp x3

@mntmn have you looked at the SGET OSM standard for solderable modules? My brain was wondering if there was utility in a OSM --> reform (the boundry nitrogen form) module. Kinda like the cm4 one you're making but with OSM

@mntmn I keep thinking about processor options for the reform and I just did a fairly chunky community post in the mnt community forum. As a diy hardware/pcb person I'm always tempted by stepping into trying to make a computer on module for the reform just as a learning project but usually don't because of costs so i wrote up a big reply in that thread of stuff i've come across and etc hoping it would still be useful to share.

@mntmn have you had some time to do some simple battery life comparisons? I'm tempted by the A311D
