@ChristiJunior For our part, it was unrealistic to believe Samus would lose on racist fedi. On the other hand, we had the loli demographic, and Remilia has some real memetic power of her own. No one really defended Samus except the anti-Touhou voters, but a blonde Aryan goddess with a last name like “Aran” is too much to overwhelm. Normalfags don’t look at the thread anyway 🤷♂️

One wonders if it’s just a competition of genocidal factions at this point

@Zerglingman I dropped it the first time after watching that, continued it later, MC is a cuck, Haruhi is a bitch, I think you’re supposed to get off on the molestation part and that’s literally the appeal.
-
@Zerglingman “I want a girl who’s going to abuse and emasculate everyone in arms reach and magically not got in trouble because she has a vagina.” Literally without virtue in my book.
-
I find tsundere girls a headache tbh not sure what the appeal is.
-
@nugger_ebooks Well good luck nugbot

@matrix Real

Wow when you think about it jews are just evil and have no redeeming qualities.
-
@jimmybuffettfanaccount This is why I think Remilia isn’t jewish. Canonically, ZUN sends mixed signals, but I think he just doesn’t understand the jews and is presenting an essential misunderstanding of the vampire myth, which is itself a fascinating thing. I think he created a more powerful meme than he meant to with the character of Remilia Scarlet, because she’s not jewish, so his portrayal of her is all the more interesting. Because she *is* a Japanese man’s negative portrayal of the West.

@mint Second panel but he’s flying in on a hang glider.

@lina Are you always ODing on autism pills or is it only sometimes?

@Paultron @synapsid @PraxisOfEvil The combination of wages and future opportunities seems unrealistically low, unfortunately. With the price of rent, all low-wage labor is basically slave labor, and not even worth the investment of moving out, and sadly no one can wait five years for a $5 or 10% raise anymore, that’s not going to cut it. We need big opportunities now, and that’s rarely on tap.
Young White guys are getting priced out of the labor force because they can’t afford anything except to stay with their parents. Businesses need to start offering big salaries up front and training like their employees will work there for the next 20 years. And drop degree and diversity requirements. Basically overhaul the system, but that won’t happen until the system collapses. Which it will. Everyone can feel the economy sagging under its own weight.

@Will2Power @Terry Love wins

@lapin yes, and my avi may have played a role in *creating* the zombie apocalypse (she’s a bioweapon scientist).

@veff @Zerglingman @professionalbigot69 Yeah the game with trades is building up skills and marketing them, then in the long run organizing other peoples skills and essentially becoming a businessman.
Depending on the area there can be a lot of money but some trades pay more than others (a lot more) and it can be a regional thing and it’s actually a lot more complicated than vocational school-60k a year to fix pipes.
-
@Zerglingman @professionalbigot69 nah.
I can see some merit to it. I think a lot of the benefit of trades comes from liking the work, and having a higher ceiling than fast food. There are small million-dollar construction companies, but you have to enter with a plan to open your own company and be successful, and that’s not easy, not everyone does it, it’s a struggle, and the conditions can be really rough the whole way through, and you just don’t make good money until you’re in the top.
It’s the same as fast food to an extent, you can be a burger flipper at twenty and own a franchise and be the regional manager at 60, but the pay will suck until then, and is that really the track you want to be on? People should think about that a lot. You can make money, eventually, if you grind for decades, but where do you want to end up, and how do you want to get there?
I want nothing to do with trades tbh.
-
@Zerglingman @professionalbigot69 have you done trades?
-
@professionalbigot69 apprentices get paid the same as burger flippers. “In ten years you’ll make 60k after you buy your own equipment.”

Had a good calc teacher who was a retired civil engineer and would relate calc to his old work sometimes and to physics, which really helped for calc and physics. For example, the floors and walls of a building are modeled as a series of springs. When the wind blows on the wall, it bends, then bends back. When you step on a floor, it sags, then rises back. I’m sure this is very rough but it’s how he explained it. Yes he was an old White guy. Students are really fugged if they lose access to those kinds of people. Education majors don’t replicate that kind of thinking by themselves.
