    @meowski @cesare My objection to your hysteria over artificial food additives is that it's not based on any actual evaluation of the substance's danger. It's based on metaphysical properties which you object to. Like just because it was made from "coal tar" which sounds yucky you think that somehow it's still, on a cosmic, metaphysical manner, yucky after being synthesized into something else.

    There are plenty of "natural" "real food" ingredients that can kill you in the wrong amount or wrong combination, or if you happen to be allergic. Chemistry is complicated, and your pure-vs-impure instinctive shintoistic reasoning about it is only going to get you so far.

    There are other reasons you piss me off and have for a long time, but this is just the one that set me off in this instance. I've never seen you be friendly or nice to anybody, you never have fun, you seem to only be here to, I guess, get into arguments and prove some kind of superiority over other people-- which is a common affliction in the modern age, I'll grant.

    I don't know. You just have bad juju and I wouldn't trust you as far as I could throw an obese black woman in an electric wheelchair.

    I mean, it's kind of hard to gather examples that your cat cares about you, but Ajax used to jump as hard as he could on my stomach from a table above when I was lying on my couch. When he was a kitten it was funny and harmless but as he got bigger it turned into a real gut punch. One time he hit me wrong and I screamed and writhed in pain-- he has never done it again. I can see him when he's ready to jump down eyeing my stomach as a perfect landing point, stopping himself short, and aiming for my couch's cushion instead. He's a good boy.
