#pride #transrights Last night, on a long grueling flight, I got up to use the restroom. The stranger next to me pointed to the front of the plane and said, “You should use that lavatory.” While dodging outstretched feet and elbows on my way to the back of the plane, I fumed, wondering why on earth he would feel the need to tell me which bathroom to use. Then I realized, this is how transgender people must feel every day. Whether CIS or trans, most people know which toilet is right for them.
