Your teen goes to the pool for a fun day out. A week later they have a little summer flu. You don’t think much of it until they text you from bed saying they can’t stand up. Within days they are paralyzed, on a breathing machine. A decade later you are changing their diapers while they sit in bed on a ventilator.

That’s polio folks. It’s only been gone in the US for a few decades, and only because of a vaccine. RFK and Trump want to ban that vaccine and bring back paralyzed kids.

Burning down a refugee camp is not a tragic mishap, especially if you first burned down the refugees original homes, their hospitals, their water pumps and treatment plants, and their fields. No, it is not a mishap. It is an intentional act of violence against people who have lost everything.

What I would say to Arab Americans arguing against supporting Biden in the fall is this: if Trump wins (which is a likely outcome), he will ban any immigration from majority muslim countries again. He will round up and deport anyone who is not yet a citizen, regardless of their asylum claims, supporting family, or history. He will probably deport some citizens “by accident” (as he did when he was last president).

Push on Biden to unfuck Gaza for sure, but don’t expect to win if he loses.

So, uh, folks, Biden is 4 years older than Trump. He bicycles regularly, and regularly jogs across the stage at events. Trump is obese, never exercises (by his own report), and isn’t known for his ability to walk steadily. If you’re voting for Trump because Biden is old, you’re an idiot.

Just to be clear — Pakistan has a law protecting trans people that is more progressive than laws in Florida and other GOP-led US states. In fact, the GOP and guys like DeSantis are more closely aligned with the sharia court in Pakistan that is trying to undermine trans protections. So to recap — Pakistan is more progressive than Florida.
