    No but seriously fuck voice actors in general not even regarding AI stuff. They've always been a parasite on the game industry. They weren't there in the beginning, and they wont be there in the end. Totally optional, unnecessary and that's not even talking about how they can now be totally replaced by AI.     After downloading a million 15 year old abandonware windows-only applications I was able to port the city scanner from HL2 to HL1 with near-zero loss in fidelity (just minor changes in the skeleton). The mesh and texture is identical to the full quality HL2 version in the vanilla HL1 engine, if you put aside that 512x512 was an optional feature reserved for cards such as the geforce2, unlike the 256x256 plebs with 3dfx cards.

    Almost nothing labelled as "low-poly" is actually low-poly. It's really clear that most modellers have no understand or simply do not care how wasteful their geometry is. They just assume everyone is prerendering, instead of actually trying to fit it into a real-time game engine. Half the time "low-poly" just means xbox360-era models, then the rest it's just aesthetically low-poly but not technically.

    Anyways this really blocky looking "low-poly" model has 11,518 polygons vs 3423 for Half-Life loader.

    I legit think I'm "wearing out" my mechanical keyboard. Certain keys are getting kinda "sticky" like the plastic has worn at a weird angle because of how I hit them. Is that a thing? Am I supposed to clean it?

    I got boomer-memed into brown switches and that was probably a mistake. If I were to buy another keyboard I'd try an electro-capacitive, EPOMAKER makes a "cheap" one.
