xianc78@gameliberty.club's status on Monday, 10-Jun-2024 06:58:58 JST xianc78 I agree that PC is better than console and that consoles are basically dead at this point, but I fucking hate the culture behind the "PC Master Race" with a passion.
Why? Because they are the most entitled, spoiled, rotten pieces of shit in the gaming community. They are like those fast-food customers who place the most ridiculous special orders, or the upper middle class to rich people who can only watch movies in a home theater set-up. They won't play a game unless they can play it on max settings with the most perfect frame-rate.
This is also one of the many factors that is preventing the "year of the Linux desktop". Even if they game already has a Linux port that is perfectly playable, I know a lot of people who out-right refuse to play on Linux because "the game runs better on Windows" (and by "better" they mean only a slight framerate increase). Let's see if that attitude still stands when Windows goes full SaaS and requires you to be micro-chipped in order to activate it.
I could go on. I also don't like their obsession with RGB lighting on everything and making their computers look like they were designed by aliens. How are you supposed to sleep at night if you are someone who keeps their computer in their bedroom?
I've been PC gaming since I started gaming, and I have always been perfectly content with a mid-ranged PC or even a toaster if I'm just sticking with indies and emulators. No RGB lights, no fancy keyboards or mice, no curved monitors. I really wouldn't have it any other way outside the inability to emulate 7th gen games.

Which reminds me that I should probably get an TI-Inspire just to try out the CaveStory port.

I tried adjusting the timing of when the boss shoots the projectiles, but I either have the boss fight being to easy or it being borderline impossible. I should probably accept that the game will have an anti-climatic boss fight.
I thought about having the boss drop some McGuffin item that will end the game, instead of just opening the staircase, but I don't know what kind of item it should be.

xianc78@gameliberty.club's status on Friday, 07-Jun-2024 00:04:04 JST xianc78 @ArdainianRight I never had an issue with malware. Granted, I'm on Linux so that probably changes things. The one red flag you need to avoid is when they don't offer ROMs directly and instead make you install some EXE that installs the ROMs for you.

xianc78@gameliberty.club's status on Thursday, 06-Jun-2024 01:46:57 JST xianc78 @santiagolmtz I did some searching and it looks like at least one of Miles Mathis's guest writers thinks James Corbett is controlled opposition, but I don't think he/she provides significant enough evidence, just pointing out last name connections which could mean anything (IMDB, a source that Mathis typically cites, doesn't show anything), and it's from one of his guest writers, not Mathis himself.
http://mileswmathis.com/gbn.pdf (page 7)
I do see Mathis's articles linked in the comments on The Corbett Report. James doesn't seem to delete them, and James openly claims that you shouldn't put full faith into him. I don't think a controlled-op would say that. That doesn't mean that everything he says is right though.
Both the mainstream and most of the alternative news outlets refuse to acknowledge the existence of Miles Mathis, even though clearly some of their articles or videos were made as a response, like the ones responding to the Stephen Hawking report. They just don't mention his name. News outlets will write hit pieces on Alex Jones, Tucker Carlson, Joe Rogan, Keith Woods, and Red Ice TV all day and mention their names, but they pretend that Mathis doesn't even exist.
I mean even the alternative press won't respond to Mathis's hit pieces on them. You'd think Red Ice who always responds to hit pieces on them would respond to Mathis claiming that they are CIA fronts, but they don't. All of this tells me that he is probably on to at least something that both the mainstream and controlled alternative media doesn't want to admit.
