A few decades ago we had a visit from Special Branch on how to check for car bombs and were issued with telescopic mirrors. One or two people had been attracting the attention of some radicalised folk. One had a colleague in Bristol who had a bomb attached to his car.

They can organise their own protest event if they wish.

When they do they can fully expect the police to act against anyone attempting to disrupt it.

They can even get advice on how to organise the protest from the government.

Disrupting somebody else's event is a no no.

I assume they knew they would be stopped.

I have heard that there are nests of low lifes in the fediverse such as Detroit City Riot. They have every dysfunction.

Typically these get de-federated promptly. Presumably then they can't interact, although possibly they can still see your posts that might get to them via an instance that isn't blocking them.

I have never spotted anything like that. I gather from the nature of your work they look for you.
