The problem is that the dollar is less bad than everything else. If gold could be transacted instantly across the world and when someone sent you gold, you knew for a fact that it was real, then the best thing would be gold. But since gold is way too clunky, the next best thing is USD. -

The best thing I ever did to reduce my exposure to fedi drama was:
1. Run an instance
2. Not block any instances
3. Follow-back pretty much whoever follows me
4. Joke about pretty much everything
That's enough to get blocked by 3-4% of instances that are responsible for probably 99% of the headache. The best part is I didn't even need to figure out who they were, they self-select which is kind of amazing. -

This is the strange battle between Democrats who want to use whatever tricks they can to bury Trump, and the MAGA Party's who want to make him the center of attention & boost his numbers.
Like two people fighting over the steering wheel, where we actually end up is in some twilight zone middle space where he's flamboyantly arrested and put through an obvious show-trial.
Obvious not because the Democrats are THAT DUMB, but because the MAGAs are ensuring that it is. -

The lesson is clear: IMPOSE ECONOMIC PAIN.
And make it clear that you CAN impose a lot more.
Like in every struggle, the objective is to unite your allies and divide your enemies. Economic pain divides your enemies because nobody likes losing money.
Investors start making phone calls.
Political donors start making phone calls.
Everybody wants the pain to stop.

However, you have to keep public opinion, or at least the opinion of your base, unified. If the enemy can win the moral high ground battle then they can send out the army to burn you alive.
If you control the media, there's almost no limit to how much pain you can induce, consider for example the Mostly Peaceful Protests™ of 2020.
Even if you only control your own base's media, you have a lot of power, consider for example ethic conflict in the middle east. Each side of the conflict exclusively follows their own media, which tells the story with them as the hero. So because they have no concern about being vilified in front of their base, they can use sabotage, terrorism, etc in order to inflict serious pain.
The major mis-step of Trudeau et al was to project power without controlling moral high ground. So even as they had significant control over the old media, enough photos and videos leaked out to cast them as the bad guys, and the truckers were just illegally parked. -

This is how bad committees are at doing anything. A monarchy or sole proprietorship under one man, can conquer a major chunk of northern Italy within a month, but a committee of GENERALS all trained and experienced french officers who all agree on the objective cannot achieve the same thing with the plans presented to them by the very genius who would go on to do it himself.
How many committees are ever set up for success like this? 1%? Less? Where everyone on the committee is trained, experienced, and qualified, who’ve been selected and the committee formed specifically for this narrow task, and selected the personalities are not clashing over WHAT they want to achieve but merely HOW, and then they have what they need to do handed to them on a silver platter by the most competent man in human history… and they dithered it and did nothing.
THIS IS HOW AWFUL COMMITTEES ARE.
and yet we’re supposed to believe a distributed cabal has remained coherent across multiple to dozens of generations, responding to novel challenges that cut across all the domains of geopolitics, and we’d expect would immediately throw all their interests into conflict, with all these figures in variably out of their depths 90% of the time (since no one can be a tier one expert except in a narrow domain) and after 50-100 years they’re somehow proactive enough that they can all agree and then execute the Assassination of a Kennedy or an Attack like 9/11?

Now the Assassination of Kennedy was probably a conspiracy, and 9/11 was 100% a conspiracy, even if it was just former CIA asset and scion of plutocratic family Bin Laden coordinating with his radical Saudi passport holding friends… that’s like the definition of a conspiracy a secret criminal plot.
but the idea of some unified cabal that is coherent and running all the common criminal geopolitical conspiracies that move the world? Impossible.
The world is not a secret pyramid, its a swamp fetid creatures and parasites…
this is good news… swamp creatures defend themselves, but they're Inherently bad at any complex coordination or multistep planning.

The guys who do a lot of scanning have a list of the IP addresses that have IDS systems which automatically generate a complaint to your ISP if you scan them. If you can get that list, you can just send a Location header with a random IP/port every time they hit you.
