'Reports have emerged from #Qatari officials that the Gulf state - which has long provided vital financial support for #Gaza and also hosts some of the #Hamas leadership - has tried to initiate talks that could secure the release of some of the #hostages

Both #Israel and #Hamas have denied reports of a possible prisoner exchange.'
