#Pride is too radical?

My fine folks, why in the name of sanity are you kowtowing to the altar of respectability? Slicing your wrists and bleeding out just to show the cishet world that you're as Polite and Respectable as can possibly be, at the expense of your dignity and, let me make this clear, every ounce of joy in your lives?

They mean to murder us. We will never be respectable enough, or decent enough, or good enough for them.

Fuck 'em, and show your weird flag off.

(Stay safe, by the way. Just... if you have to be milquetoast in order to be safe and continue living, then that's fine. But don't blame us for showing off when we can. #Pride is a RIOT, not a Macy's Day Parade.)

Was I being rude this morning to the person in the Uptown Market Square, standing on a street corner and advocating for my death, when I stood and laughed at him, loudly, for a minute or so?
