This was, originally, a domain for me to deploy a discord-clone on. I went through a few, including Matrix, before giving up.

I eventually installed Mastodon because I did serious posting on infosec.exchange, and I wanted an account to do meme stuff on.

I was happily interacting with instances like bofa.lol and the like before, well, I made the mistake of telling are0h that Twitter sometimes has false positives when banning people. This was seen as the absolute pinnacle of racism, and as such led to my first tour around fediblock. It was also cited whenever someone later on would want me defederated for disagreeing with them.

Later, I told someone on Octodon that harassing app developers for not adding hard-coded domain blocklists was maybe a bad idea. This was seen as the absolute pinnacle of transphobia, and as such led to my second tour around fediblock.

The end result is that somebody who has given their entire life to an impoverished black child, and has been dating a trans chick since 2017, is on every "tier 1" mandatory blocklist for racism and transphobia.

So eventually only sane people, who don't tend to run mastodon, were able to interact with me. There's no straightforward way to convert from one software to another, so I just kinda left it there.

I pontificate over how fucking easy it would have been for the trumbus to fucking make a copy, or scan, his 50 bankers boxes of national secrets, instead of taking the fucking originals, for the love of the game. But I really don't give a fuck about the trumbus *or* national secrets.

As for the battery thing
- wasn't aware mandates were suddenly cool
- I'm a big fan of making it harder for stupid people to do stupid things that I then have to support or else I'm fired
- phone manufacturers aren't going to allow the phones to get thicker for this, they are simply going to make the battery smaller
- if you think they won't DRM the batteries, think again

I'm all for the battery being user-replaceable. I am not at all a fan of the battery being readily pullable by a zoomer who was told "Surgeon General to iPhone Owners: Do This Every Day. (IMPORTANT)"
