Jorge Caballero, MD (datadrivenmd@fedified.com)'s status on Wednesday, 20-Sep-2023 16:35:32 JST Jorge Caballero, MD Just so we're all on the same page: it is *illegal* for insurance companies to deny coverage of the new COVID-19 booster. Furthermore, CVS, Walgreens, and eTrueNorth are *contractually obligated* to provide free COVID-19 testing and vaccines to uninsured persons. It's all right here:

I pushed back w/ evidence showing COVID reinfections were already taking place but that the CDC wasn't tracking on the data. She doubled-down. A few months later, I was proven right. She won some kind of journalism prize for her COVID stuff. Anywho, better late than never, NYT ⤵️

To the extent that there's *any* reasonable disagreement among experts it's over a very narrow range of extreme badness— from more likely to suffer permanent damage to vital organs (lungs, heart, kidneys, brain) ➡️ more likely to end up dead. I wouldn't want anyone to get the impression that "you'll be perfectly fine" is part of the debate because it most definitely is not.

Jorge Caballero, MD (datadrivenmd@fedified.com)'s status on Saturday, 08-Apr-2023 15:29:24 JST Jorge Caballero, MD Speaking as an anesthesiologist that's spent more time in labor and delivery than most non-obstetricians will spend in their lifetimes, I cannot stress this enough: innocent people will die if mifepristone is outlawed. And it won't be in a few weeks or months— it will happen within hours. Judges should not be practicing medicine. Full stop.

Jorge Caballero, MD (datadrivenmd@fedified.com)'s status on Sunday, 12-Mar-2023 16:42:37 JST Jorge Caballero, MD Expect a lot of down rounds in the coming weeks and months as the surviving VCs take advantage of panicked entrepreneurs to extract ridiculous concessions from founders. Expect a flurry of sub-unicorn acquisitions, underwhelming IPOs, SPACs that are DOA— VCs at "founder-friendly" firms will bully their portfolio companies to exit in a last-ditch attempt to remain solvent.
#SVB fallout

And that his minions in Congress are trying to make the American economy collapse just like #SVB collapsed: by dolling out money to billionaires instead of paying the bills.

✅ Eli Lilly reluctantly complies with Democratic law that caps out-of-pocket cost of insulinEli Lilly is a global corporation that actively participates and defends its role in the insulin oligopoly. Eli Lilly isn't capping the cost of jack squat. Eli Lilly was forced to stop exploiting patients- that's the story, and the headline. Do better, editors.
