She's getting her energy back, and I saw her drink water a couple times. We're making sure to keep the water clean and fresh, and giving her all the hay and a little alfalfa hay that she wants. I'll have to look to see if she's getting vitamins from the medicated feed. -
MandyJane (mandyjane@spinster.xyz)'s status on Monday, 13-Feb-2023 00:59:44 JST MandyJane Are there any of you who raise goats? I am asking because my nephew joined FFA and is raising a baby goat, this one is very healthy, but they bought a companion baby goat from someone else and it has (or had) coccidiosis. She had diarrhea, but her poop has firmed up over the past couple days. She has been to the vet and is on medication for it, but I was wondering what else we can do to get her eating and drinking more. She is more active today, and was munching on hay so I think she will be alright. I was wondering about putting molasses in their water to get them to drink more, or corn syrup. Or maybe mixing up a homemade electrolyte for them to drink. I think this is all the same for sheep, so if you know about sheep then advice would be welcome.
