1. This photo is from Hogwarts Legacy. The goblin artifact is a Shofar, a Jewish item of religious and cultural significance. The goblins are "the antagonists" of the game (your goal in the game is to keep them enslaved) The original caption shared with this photo (left in the comments of Chuck Tingle's post) is "Theres antisemitism baked into the game . I dont thjnk this is a coincidence (the "goblin horn" is a shofar, a traditional Jewish horn)" EDIT TO ADD: The year 1612 was the start of the anti-Jewish "Fettmilch Uprising" in Germany. Of course that's the year they'd choose for the "Goblin Rebellion" horn

As a Jew and a parent of a trans kid, I am having a lot of challenges with the gaming community’s acceptance of the new wizard game.
The creator of that IP is a gleeful anti-trans bigot. The game’s story is built around blood libel. And yet, outlets are still giving it huge play and content creators are conveniently ignoring the harm this game’s profits will directly contribute to.
Everyone needs to make their own choice, sure. But I am having a hell of a time not judging people.
