All EU airports are staffed and operated by citizens of member states in accordance with their national laws (these include EU laws). Suggestions that "the EU" is racial profiling because of actions of an official (or officials) in one airport in one country is about as sensible as birthplace profiling. The EU does nothing of the sort.
